Vintage Guitar Oldenburg and Tobias Hoffmann present Fender Stratocaster in original black custom colour from 1969. More infos about the guitar at: www.vintage-gui.... Tobas plays an instrumental cover of Bruce Springsteens "Streets of Philadelphia"
The guitar shown was played through a Fender Deluxe Reverb from 1978 and recorded with a Shure SM57 (left) and a Sennheiser 409 (right) . The backing tracks were recorded into a Fame Twin Looper on the same instrument right before the recording of each video. A Red Panda Tensor was used for additional loops and sounds. Overdrive Sounds come from a Vemuram Jan Ray and the Greer Amps Lightspeed as booster.
Tobias Hoffmann is a award winning guitar player from cologne, germany. He combines the sounds of Jazz, Blues, Rock, Surf and some experimental stuff. Check him out:

I have a 78 Deluxe Reverb. Many people snub the late 70s Fenders as inferior and some were but sound/tone is objectionable. The Princetons and Deluxes didn't stray away too far from their 60's Balckfaced cousins as did the other Fender models of the time. That being said the late 70's Deluxes did get cleaner and louder than the earlier 70's models. This was Fenders ultra-linear period when Supers went from 45/50 watts to 70/75 watts, Pros 40 watts to 60 watts, Twins went from 85 to 100/125 watts and on and on. My 78 Deluxe is very similar in tone to the older Blacks from around volume tones 1-2.5 , at 3-4 the volume almost doubles and it becomes a beast. 5-7 it just gets more raunchy, 8-10 you are into overdrive heaven. With great tone control and a nice Strat you can get some pristine sounds. Nice video.

That studio environment is wonderful. Where did all those jewels, guitars, amplifiers come from, and that from such a bygone era? Are you the owner of all those relics, or not?

The guitars are in our shop "Vintage-Guitar" in Oldenburg/Germany if they are not sold meanwhile. Tobias comes to our shop every 6-8 weeks to play in about 25 guitar videos of newly arrived old guitars.
