Got a good chuckle out of the “weapons expert” not knowing that the ATI .22lr replicas aren’t real Stg-44’s.

Fudd has just become another jaded term. Like old guns? You're a Fudd! Like woodgrain? You're a Fudd! Not into the AR platform? You're a Fudd!
@VintageWarfare3 жыл бұрын
Pretty much, I hate that because it does actually have a pointed meaning at a group of gun people. If anything loving milsurp is anti fudd.

Fudd has kind of taken on a new meaning. Usually a "I'm pro 2nd Amendment, but..." kind of person. Someone who is alright with compromising rights away because it doesn't effect them. While the NRA hat wearing Boomer who is alright with magazine capacity limits and banning accessories because it won't touch their hunting rifle is the first thing to come to mind, some of the worst Fudds are the "As a former Marine, nobody should be able to own an AR-15."

Just randomly found your channel today, decided to try a video: this was a delightful way to combine polite criticism of commenters with some humor, humility, and education. Great attitude, had me grinning, gained a new sub. 🙂👍

Prvi Partizan has factory Carcano ammo. Bullets are too small for the bore though is what I’ve heard. I believe it since they wind up all over the place downrange. Sweet little rifle though.

I was a 91F Small Arms & Artillery Repairman. I like guns, I know the Military weapons and have learned from some folks who were real weapons experts. The Infantry regularly used M16A2s and M4s as pry bars. The Infantry, no shit, would bitch about how their weapon quit working for us only to find that somebody tried to gunsmith and lost an internal part. The Special Forces guys would put Ammonia in their mortar tubes and leave them in a closet to rot away for years. Don't get me wrong. Some of those guys were good at learning guns because they had a heavy interest, and guns are not some forbidden knowledge. But after seeing a soldier whine after I told them to use Iron sights to qualify when their Acog broke its internal mirror, I learned a good lesson. Most people are full of shit about everything. Because that soldier who whined over having to use iron sights probably told the folks back home that they were well trained. Me and my guys taught these guys how to operate these weapons through PMI classes for every weapon system occasionally. We also sat by and assisted lots of ranges. The rest of the military are operators. Just because I drove the trucks, does not mean I was a mechanic. I am now, but I wasn't then.

Yeah same for us in Australia lol, the diggers are so utterly retarded sometimes it's impossible to comprehend.

When it comes to the Garand, I usually go with gurr-and for the rifle and gerrand (rhymes with errand) for John C., the snobs be damned. Gurr-and is what those who carried the rifle called it, and saying it one way for the rifle and the other for the man is the CMP's standard (I say standard for lack of a better word). I just came across your channel so I will check out some more of your videos. I guess my channel is not big enough to get the truly ignorant comments :).

Kar98 is one of the 3 rifles from from world war 2 that have influence on every modern bolt action rifle. K98 influenced most of them. K98 is the absolute gold standard. They can get bent. (My fav is the Arisaka which is one of the others)

Man, if you didn't like that, wait until you hear what I have to say about that 5.11 Tactec plate carrier. Mail it back to Vietnam where it was made. Mosins are weird. You ever find someone at the range using card stock to shim a Mosin barrel juuuuust right?
@VintageWarfare3 жыл бұрын
That is heavily dependent on the mosin, but which comments yours?
@murphykenji3 жыл бұрын
@@VintageWarfare I just meant the other comments in general. The problem with the Mosin isn't actually the Mosin, although the recoil is a bit punishing and you occasionally have to smack that bolt lever like Chris Brown on a third date. No, the problem is what people do to them. They take a $100 rifle and spend $300 on it to make it a $50 rifle. A stock Mosin is fine, but many of the Mosins you see have cut down barrels, plastic furniture and optics that change zero more often than Fauci changes his mind.
