Hell man, I put 110,000 on a 2008 GSX-R 750 in a year, and I live in the Midwest. I bought it brand new and rode it every day, rain, shine, and even snow a couple of times. Dirt roads? Hell yeah, I took that thing everywhere, didn't even own a car, that was it, and without fail, every weekend I took off on it all weekend and put at least 1000-1500 miles on it every weekend not to mention my normal use during the week. I'd probably still have it except it got stolen and I kinda took it as my sign that it was time to give up riding.

Chris, some people choose the drug game and the drug game chooses some people... for better or worse you seem to have good instincts for those situations and seem to take the right path to keep yourself intact. That "f-it, I'll roll" spirit has its perks and its drawbacks. For personal security, I eventually became the "yeah you guys have fun with that, I will stay posted here" guy - if you ever do the same, just remember to not offer to be the cavalry. And they are very friendly in Ukiah, south end of the triangle and used to visitors of all types, one of the best parts of the State back then.
@christophermichaels3 жыл бұрын
Hi Opie, thank you for the words and the advice. I agree with your philosophy and try to stay as far away from all of that mess as I can. I guess most people think I do drugs because of the way I look but I'm really kind of the regulator who, like you, who stays posted and make sure everyone gets home alight. You sound like a similar guy and I appreciate you recognizing it in me. My circle of friends are all pretty clean and my only other experiences have been the crazy car chases and in these other stories. Driving through the weed field was just an ignorant teenager mistake and the Maverick car chase was just bad luck when I only wanted to meet some girls. I didn't know my truck was a smuggler truck until I bought it and I barely knew these guys on this motorycle trip. Those experiences alone have made me pretty cautious but I suppose my "go with it" philosophy has allowed me to get into these situations. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to write. Best wishes - Christopher
