And lots of proggy elements…Quadrophenia was a really interesting choice..the new Peter Gabriel album was my fav of the year..love it..can’t stop playing it…nice to see Zappa..wish he was still with us..he left us enough music to last three lifetimes thankfully…awesomectag response Robert..you hit all my sweet spots👍❤glen

Great response Robert, and thanks so much for participating and jumping on this thread. Brilliant pick with the Book of Talisyn.. would definitely agree on those proggy/psych influences. Love the newest Gabriel (it was my album of the year) and I would definitely call it "progressive". Great pick on Zappa as the artist you miss.. man imagine if he were around today. I knew you would have a great response to this and it certainly did not disappoint. Adding this to the prog vinyl tag playlist. Thanks again Robert!

Did you and your cup of coffee forget about the first progressive rock supergroup Emerson Lake and Palmer😮 I mean Emerson Lake and Powell don't really count and I do like cozy Powell it has nothing to do with him it's just early Emerson Lake and Palmer were one of the forebearers of progressive rock as were all of their perspective bands they were in Pryor. I'm sorry I just never understand when someone omit them on something like this😢

@@RobertsOnMyTurntable I have them all and have been a fan since 1970 but that's neither here or there it's not right them not being on this list.. I realize it's your list and your Channel however it just feels wrong given the information I put in my comment as well as the fact that they were considered back then the standard for musician excellence that all other groups were measured by. Not yes not Genesis not Zappa or King Crimson e l p w e r e. As a matter of fact yes opened up for them in the early days and even stated in an interview that e l p had a lot to do with making them successful back in the early days by having yes on their tour. You may want to consider all this when you make your next list.. thank you
