Ben Folds Rock n Suburbs is so good. He made some incredible albums in that time frame. I wish he was still creating that kind of music

I agree. There must have been something special about the collaboration with the other 2 members of Ben Folds Five that brought out that music. Do you have a favorite Ben Folds (or BF5) album?

I think Somgs For Silverman is near perfect. I use to have a RSD reissue of it in vinyl but a flood wiped it out. Now that album along with Rockin The Suburbs go for an incredible amount of money on discogs

A flood! I'm sorry to hear that. That's awful. 😭

Enjoyed seeing your range of music here. Also, mad props for a Ben Folds fan, nice. Gotta say yes to Yes! And some Radiohead love too, very nice. Really appreciate some Genesis too, really nice selections here.

Yessss! I couldn't get enough of Ben Folds Five (and that first solo album) back in the early 2000's. A couple years later, I really started getting into progressive rock by way of Yes and Genesis. I guess it's not completely out of the question to make the jump from Ben Folds to prog. His music was much more melodically sophisticated than other pop music (not that there's anything wrong with a straight-ahead pop song). That's so much for taking the time to leave a comment. I really appreciate it!

Were you joking about Time Out?. Brubeck's muzak is hideous!

I have to politely disagree. Time Out is delightfully easy to listen to, which makes an excellent gateway album for someone just getting into jazz.

@@MediumQuality When I'm encouraging folks to explore Jazz that one would be near the bottom of the options, all 5 milllion or so of them, might put one off 'Jazz', or the more valuable Lp's out there. If you wanted to plump for a well know big seller I'd suggest the Koln Concert or Sketches of Spain.
