Hi Rob. I’ve never seen the High Fidelity film, though lots of friends have said I would like it. I’ve never seen that KTel comp either, I wonder if it just came out in Europe or the US? A solid line up of late 70s new wave hits. I have Atom Heart Mother but still haven’t come to grips with it. Memorable cover though.

Hi John, you have to watch high fidelity in 2025. … 👍. Maybe it’s an import? but nicks vinyl butty have mentioned that he has a copy … it’s a pretty solid tack listing .. after decades of ignorance I’ve discovered I quite like pink Floyd 😀. Thanks for watching , have a great weekend John 👍

Thanks for the mention Rob. It was '78 AND '79! First time was at the September Knebworth festival, where they were pelted with beer bottles (not from me, I hasten to add!). Peter Gabriel and The Tubes' fans. 🤷🏻♂️ I only have that Bunnymen album on CD. Once you accept that 'Evergreen' is mellow Bunnymen, then all that followed was more of the same good stuff. The 'Heaven Up Here' style would never return. That's an interesting Tears For Fears album, despite your disappointing review. The Floyd album is decent, but you know the remix/remaster (by James Guthrie, I think) reissues of their catalogue sound really good. Worth trying a couple for starters.

@@robwalkerletthemusicplay Yes you did comment, including mentioning the Lilacs. The Lilacs are interesting on many levels. I watched the documentary 'Out Of Time: The Material Issue Story' yesterday. Ken Kurson is one of the people interviewed. He has had a fascinating life post-Lilacs. His Wikipedia entry gives you a flavour ... I've got a busy weekend, but I'll be sure to see your video early next week.

Hi Rob. Some great pick-ups there. I picked up the tears for fears album when it came out a couple of years ago. Maybe not as good as them at their best, but still a great album. I picked up the first Dream Academy at an antiques mill in Haslingden just before Christmas ( Rossendale antiques and vintage warehouse, if you ever find yourself in that neck of the woods. They have quite a lot of vinyl). Great video, enjoy your records!
