That Love album was the 1st Love album I ever heard and owned. I picked it up at a swap meet (car boot sale) around 1980-81. I did not know of them but wow when I played it, I was an instant fan. Good to see you again, Ron

Hi Ron, Da Capo is a great album (1st side anyway). It blew me away when I first heard it. Especially the Castle. So catchy but off kilter as well. 7&7 is is just unbelievable. It must’ve taken some time to nail that one. Hope all is good with you. Cheers, Steve.

Hey Steve, great update! The Andwellas Dream and Death and The Lady albums look interesting. Thanks for sharing! Much love, Diana

Cheers Diana, both albums are cool but to see the Death and The Lady album reissued was a real RSD surprise.

Hi Steve, great video, very enjoyable. I have reserved a copy of Death and a Lady also like Sandy Denny, Fairport and folk rock 60 through to 80’s. Cheers Pete

Love that Move album - the budget EMI labels released some excellent titles in the seventies from the likes of the Animals, Lulu, Terry Reid, The Sweet, T.Rex, Manfred Mann, The Hollies, Cliff Bennett, The Beatles (group and solo) and many, many more.

Music for pleasure albums are always worth it. My favourite is the Lee Hazlewood one. Great selections which are harder to find including his version of Boots. Well worth seeking out. Thanks for watching. Cheers, Steve,

Hi. I have never missed a video of yours. Really like your wide taste and the way you discuss the records. You're right about The David- great, great album as is Andwella's Dream. Will definitely check out Michael Raven. Doris Duke has been on my list for ages too. Cheers, Alan

Cheers Alan and thanks for taking time to watch. You’ve got to get Doris Duke -a fantastic deep soul album and every track is wonderful.

Steve, nice group of albums that you showed. I have a Move compilation on Music for Pleasure, but I think it is a different one. Nice Sandy Denny pick-up. Great Love album. I need to check out Trafalgar. The Michael Raven & Joan Mills albums sounds most intriguing. I see it lists for over $1000 on Discogs. I will try to find something to listen to on-line. Thanks, Chris

Hi Chris, hope all is good with you. The Michael Raven LP is great and Joan Mills has such a pure voice - I was unaware of her until this album. Sandy Denny albums are relatively easy to find here. I’ve had a lucky streak with them recently. Trafalgar is good but can not touch their Bee Gees 1st which is one of the only psych classics that is still cheap to pick up here in Wales. Cheers, Steve.

Someone recently showed that Andwellas Dream album. Tone Scott's RSD video was really good.

Vinyl Richie sent me over. I like psych but I'm having trouble knowing which records to look for. I need a good book showing album covers.

Hi, thanks for taking time to watch and comment. I’m sure you are aware of Bo at Earhead Six and Dan at Dots and Loops - both have an amazing knowledge of psych. Matt Sands awesome as well and of course the might Vinyl Richie. The book I would really recommend for is Richard Morton Jack’s Psychedelia 101 Iconic Underground Rock albums. The best LPs are there. Have a lovely weekend. Cheers, Steve,

The David - an impressive album for a bunch of high school kids. Possibly my favorite album by high schoolers - even including the first Genesis album, a great one, or The Hootch Album, which I consider overrated - is what is usually referred to as "The Index Album", or to distinguish it from their 2d album, "The Index Black Album". It was just self-titled by a band called Index, but it has a black cover, so the best way to search for it may be to use Index Black Album, or Index Album Self Titled. That record is not only good, but to me unusual for the time when it came out.

Will certainly check out your recommendations. The David is great but a shame that their best song 40 Miles is not on it. That can be found on Pebbles Southern California Vol 2.Great song. Thanks for watching.

Hey Steve, I really like Trafalgar too. Great melodies and use of strings. Sets a good mood. And what can be said of Da Capo Side 1? Have you seen the documentary called Love Story?
@psychinthevalleys53246 жыл бұрын
Hi Lou, I’ve not seen Love Story but would like to. I do recall seeing a clip from it when Arthur returns to the Castle. I’ve just read the Forever Changes, the story of Love which was a really good read. I really enjoy Trafalgar. I’ve also got Idea and Horizontal which both have some good songs. You can’t beat the Bee Gees 1st though. Take care, Steve.
@PoliceBoy4656 жыл бұрын
I have Horizontal, but not the others. Would love to get them. Steve, you can see the entire Love Story on youtube.

Man, I love Andwellas Dream's Love and Poetry. I would love to own an original, even though I'm happy to have a reissue. The originals are silly expensive. Many interesting showings here Steve. Some I don't know. I will check those out. Take care! Nico
