Crazy how we got the same HP Monitor, same Turntable (diff color) same cartridge with headshell, ANDDDD you talk about reggae, which is why im watching these mastering videos, im trying to cut a reggae LP. Thanks for your help!

When cutting a record with one long dynamically varied side and one shorter loud-all-the-time side, would a cutting engineer tend to vary the groove spacing to cram in the grooves during quiet sections? Seems silly to keep the groove width a constant in that scenario. Also, if one side ends with a fade out, wouldn’t it make sense to cut further into the middle than the other side without worry about loss of fidelity?
