Reissues are like neck ties! I love that analogy, so true.

Secofunk yes the reissue prices are absurd and even the original pressings are super expensive I’m definitely looking at collecting something different awesome Dorothy Ashby finds I found Afro harping at a half price books for 30 bucks love the heat you showed brother Van. Can’t wait to see your Fela Kuti Collection. Lovellandrew

You got brother ah! I have a copy and somehow have come across a couple other copies. Haven’t listened in a while but I remember digging it. Took me entering into a meditative state to vibe And connect. Definitely no an easy listen. But I did connect which I can’t say for a lot of more dense free jazz.

The Rhythm Makers become GQ and "Soul on your side" became "Disco nights". When I saw the thumbnail, ZZ Tops' Tres Hombres came to mind. Didn't think green background was that popular.

Damn man The 🔌 provideth. Earth Rot, Songs of Experience and Heavy Axe are also dope by Axelrod. I think you would especially dig Heavy Axe. Yeah hit us with that Grail Cube and the Fela. Been looking for that Julian Priester. Love, Love I think is better but both really good he did there on ECM.

Prana People were actually an early incarnation of the Fantastic Aleems/Aleem. It was one of the first titles on Prelude.

Grail cube. I like the term. Lol. Mine is not on your level but maybe I’ll show it for fun.

I get what you are saying about the cost on reissues and I agree the asking prices are crazy. However, if you can’t afford the original pressing that cost hundreds and hundreds of dollars (which is crazy too), you will spend that amount on reissues. I have reissues because my funds don’t run that deep like yours! I have been collecting a long time and back then, the prices were decent and affordable. It’s a shame how the vinyl market had become…

Can’t remember. Do you store your 70s blue notes by catalog number or label?

Man..... Love your videos🔥 Very influential and informative. Was wondering if you had a copy of Hard Groove by Roy Hargrove and is it a hard one to find? The other album is Rob Grandi Carpenter album? Keep on Keeping on 🔥😎🤘
