Nice job. Looks cool and proves that it's pretty attainable to make a change to your guitar for your aesthetic vibe and goals. Thanks!

Good job with the wrap, but that body looked so much better without it.

Thanks! Yes it did. The positive side to the wrap is, it peels off without damage and it’s cheaper than a new guitar 😅

Great job. I guess we have to spray clear coat (lacquer) on it to make it last longer, right ?
@thatsoundsterribleАй бұрын
It would become a more permanent install by doing that. I had it on mine for about 7 months before I took it off, had no issues with it peeling up. Preparing the surface and making sure it’s clean before you apply the wrap/vinyl will go along ways for it to have proper adhesion.

Camo over stunning flamed maple. That's, uh... a courageous choice. Especially with a military vibe and yet all those doves flying up and down your fretboard. 🤣 Now that two months have gone by it is probably the right time to remind you that it is completely reversible.

After you restring, I always pull on the strings a lot before tuning again, to stretch them out good. Joe Walsh has a great video.
@thatsoundsterrible11 ай бұрын
That’s what I do, I will push down with my thumb on the fretboard and lift the string with middle/ring fingers 2/3/4 times. Tune up. Rinse. Repeat.

Wow purple camo over quarter sawn matchbook tiger maple burst. They go thru quite some effort to get veneers to look like that and at quite some cost. Is it a rich-kid thing like they stand in line to pay alot to get clothes that have stains painted on them or cover their expensive Nike's with Duct Tape ? I .dont get it? He wants his beautiful wood guitar to look like its plastic and it does. It might look better with Duct Tape

I agree with your statement except for a couple of clarifications. You wrote that it was “quarter sawn matchbook maple.” This is not quarter sawn, that actually means something different. The correct description is book matched maple, not “matchbook.”

Hope the alcohol doesn’t eat the finish.
@thatsoundsterrible11 ай бұрын
I’ve never had an issue on poly or nitro finish.

Alcohol is not acid. And if alcohol did eat guitar finishes, barely any guitars made in the 60s or 70s would have an original finish.
