Just wanted to let you know. Myself being a diy car enthusiastic in all aspects of aftermarket I watch alot of tutorials/videos. Your wrap diy videos are by far the best and most informative on KZbin without a doubt. So many KZbinrs need alot of help or have a weak delivery, bad angles, etc. So keep up the good work and keep the vids coming. You have probably helped 1000's of people including pros most likely.

+Josh Hearn thank you, I'll keep at them. The video quality will get better soon, we have a new camera coming. All of the current videos were done using a cell phone

I agree with ths comment. But CK Wraps may I suggest, a complete video tutorial to start off. Or more likely, a video series covering all the steps. I' currently reading the how to from Vvivid but I'm surprised there someone who did a video in that way of it on KZbin. www.vvividhq.com/how-to-wrap-a-car

Christian, I appreciate that you don't edit out your mistakes, you call attention to them to allow others to learn from you. I know that I will learn more from you being honest like this. Thank you for all your hard work and excellent detailed description.

Amazing job as always. You should think about getting quick jack or race ramps to lift car much higher so you won't have to work on floor or be bending so much.

Love your videos, I was especially excited when I saw you doing a rocker panel cause that's the current project I'm doing on my ride. I really wanted to see how you handled those corners coming from the rocker panel to the wheel well but your video didn't cover that except for the statement that you put in an inlay. If you ever get a chance to show how you did the rocker panel inlay and the overlap I would love to see that. Keep wrapping, love the channel.

Christian, incredible how you wrapped the bottom. As to how critical Christian's wraps are think about this: When he's in shorts, it's warm, when he's in a tank top, it's hot, very hot. He probably can't so much as turn a fan on because it would stir up dust and contaminants. I'm willing to bet in the winter, when it get's cold, he's set up so there aren't any heating vents very close to the vehicle that he's working on. I've seen Christian's videos where his shirt is glued to him with sweat. So those are a few things to keep in mind watching Christian when he wraps. Other than that...... Ü He sure can make it look easy ! My best, Scott

That piece was actually easy compared to the aftermarket skirt body pieces I tried to do. Think of it as doing the shark fin but add 6 more angles. The front diffuser not only had a flat base, but also a vertical lip on the end thats 3 inches high. So we're talking like 9 different angles on 1 piece, a wrinkle/stretch nightmare. I tried 4 inlays (base, back, top of lip, each side of lip) and trashed the vinyl. Was not looking good. Painted it gloss and 100% better. I really need experience on the multiple angled pieces, they're my only crutch in wrapping cars. It would really help in just having videos wrapping those small bits.

Just curious… You mention focusing on areas of tension, but isn’t post heating required, especially at edges, to activate/lock in the adhesive? Just curious what your thought is here.

With a heavy recess, would it be a good idea to use some amount of Primer 94 in order to prevent lifting in the recess area? I can never get recess areas to remain and not lifting after a few days. I see that the key is getting the post-heat up to the right temp. NICE!

Does post heating ever run the risk of melting the plastic underneath it. For example, an interior trim peice?

Instead of the 3M blue paper at the bottom, what will be the original color? or other wrap vinyl?
@gregpartridge39437 жыл бұрын
A ck , placing blue painter's tape helps to keep the edges down or etc. I'm interesting in knowing.
@CKWraps7 жыл бұрын
+Greg Partridge it helps prevent you from cutting something that you shouldn't and also helps the vinyl slide off
