I just finished wrapping my car with some cheap eBay vinyl. Absolute nightmare. Next time I’m for sure gonna buy the good stuff. I also burned my arm with the heat gun which made me even more frustrated with the project lmao

Imagine if it was with a torch that you got burnt with!! Ouch... good thing it was only a heat gun. I've done that a few times myself - doesn't feel good that's for sure. Always use the best vinyl - Avery, 3M, APA and sometimes Orafol. I used a Orafol candy on my last wrap and was a nightmare to remove without heat. I haven't used Hexis or KPMF yet.

Now your branded if you burned yourself. Definitely you'd be surprised how much nice the good film lays down. Avery is my go to. Just wrapped my roof again on my Impala and I'll have a video up soon.

Hey Samson, love the videos, big question, how did you tuck the vinyl into the trunk lock, I find myself always taking out the locks because i don’t want to cut on the car and the lock isn’t loose enough to tuck underneath.

Anyone who’s wanting to know how much vinyl you need for your car, here’s something to go off of; every roll of vinyl comes at 5ft in width. On an average HOOD and ROOF you’ll need about 5ft X 6ft and an avg. TRUNK is about @ 5ft x 5ft.

love the video man i want to wrap my 2016 honda civic the paint is trashed due to it being a used car that for some reason the previous owner didnt care about... literally clear coat scratches from hell let alone the swirl marks which ive taken out myself but they come back in like 1 month.. think ill just try and wrap it myself watching your videos really help me see different ways and tricks on how to do it right and easier. sick videos keep it up 100k coming this year for sure

I don't have a heater in my warehouse. Only my lobby and office area etc. I do heat up my garage though, usually when I get to shop its about 60 degrees or maybe colder.

Great video! So you are using mostly 3M vinyl... From your experience it's true that 3M dropped the quality lately ? it's true that you get more glue marks with 3M than other brands ? Like Oracal or Hexis, wich have high initial tack, similar with 3M. Thanks!

Yes 3m has become notorious. You have to be quick and not let it sit without squeegeeng or it will show where it sat for even a bit of time.
