Hey Everyone! It is finally starting to warm up over here, meaning it is time we start learning how to wrap a car. This is a really difficult skill and something I have always wanted to learn. I figured I would make a video on my first attempt, and talk about some of the things I find so fascinating about the process. I hope you enjoy! Let me know what color I should make the car in the comments:)
If you enjoy the video or learn something, consider liking and subscribing for more!
Thank you for watching

You couldn’t have made this video at a better time for me, Im pretty much set on wrapping my 2002 225Q soon so the tips you provided are much appreciated. For myself I’m thinking of either something close to nardo gray or dark purple. Keep making great content!

I am really glad you found the video helpful! Nardo Grey is a great choice and I also really love deep purples. Both sound awesome for a TT. Thank you for the support!

Id say blue fire body with gunmetal wheels:) If white is your winner, deffo something unique, like white gold sparkle.

Hunter; impressed with your willingness to take chances and not expect perfection the first time out; you’ll go far dude. I’ve got silver Borbets on my silver TT, and nothing changes the look of the car more than wheels. Keep up the great videos!

Really good job on the wrapping man! Me personally I like good simple wraps but do what you want! It’s your car after all!

Thank you! It didn't turn out perfect, but it is a really fun skill to learn that I am sure I will use and improve upon in the future. I agree :) I don't think I would ever put a full pattern on a car, but it's crazy how well some of them can turn out.

i follow Paradox the wrapper on you tube and he has some really dope colors. I say stay with the White, and go for what's in your heart. Mine is a white with Blue metallic flakes, going on this summer.

Once again a great video! Personally I would go for a mouse grey color with black roof and side mirrors along with some 18 BBS Le mans. I also agree with some of the comments, lowering the car a bit makes the car look way more agressive. In the end it just ideias so whatever you decide to go with, Im sure it will look amazing! Looking foward for more updates!

I am really glad you like the video! I love that grey idea, and those wheels would be so sweet. A good pair of coilovers is absolutely on the bucket list in the near future. I am really excited for how those alone will change the look!

You need to lower it first. KW V3. 1.5* negative camber. Next step: 8,5x19 BBS RS 861 speedlines with 225/35/19. This will transform the car to something else.

Great video, like the idea of a green with dark wheels but whatever takes your fancy. Thought about wrapping my TT in a similar colour to Green Envy but would never be brave enough to give it a go myself. Be interested to see how easy it is when you come to remove the piece on the roof. Be a little concerned that it would take some of the lacquer along with it on my car. Well done though, look forward to seeing which colour you choose.

I am so happy it's not just me who likes the idea of a dark green with carbon black trim. I think it would be so incredible! Thanks for the support! I'll be sure to heat the film so it doesn't cause lacquer peel:)

You're not supposed to try to flatten out those "fingers" that stick up around the edges @6:28 Instead you have to lift the vinyl back up and stretch the fingers out. The material should be very forgiving and let you lift it back up multiple times. good job at your first attempt though, especially in the cold. Keep it up man!
@HunterDirection
@HunterDirection 2 жыл бұрын
Oh that makes alot more sense! I am really excited to try it again when it's actually warm enough not to tear as I lift it back up. It got way too cold towards the end of my attempt, but I learned alot. I appreciate the support! I will try that next time:)
@dacasman
@dacasman 2 жыл бұрын
@@HunterDirection yeah man, you'll be amazed how much easier it is in warm weather. It almost doesn't even make sense how forgiving the vinyl is. I've wrapped some really complicated stuff like all the plastics on my honda grom, which are very complex and angled, and it took me a while to learn that the vinyl can be lifted off and reapplied many times, bit by bit.

Ok Hunter- I’m stumped on an issue. My Audi TT isn’t boosting past 7 psi. New n75 and DV. Have you also explored the Internet and seen such an issue? I’m thinking a boost leak.
@HunterDirection
@HunterDirection 2 жыл бұрын
Hmm I will happily do some research and see what I think it is. So I have a bit more knowledge to go off of is it a 180, or a 225? Also has it been tuned/what psi does it hit normally? Since, from the sounds of it, you have a boost gauge, is there any change to what it reads as far as idle vacuum pressure? I am happy to brainstorm with you to fix it.
@moncier77
@moncier77 2 жыл бұрын
@@HunterDirection it’s a 225 stock tune. Usually around 17 psi normal conditions. But that has changed and can’t figure out the issue.
