Back when I first started listening to rave music in the early 90’s, I used to think this type of remix was just a ‘mix’, due to it mainly consisting of the original elements, with just a few tweaks. I thought that a remix was vastly different from the original. It took me a year or two before I realised that producers just called their remixes whatever they liked! Like someone above says, this is like a reinterpretation. Subtle refinement and evolution that sticks closer to the original format. Even The Climax version by Bizarre Inc. themselves is more different to the Quadrant Mix, than this. A perfect remix in my book.
