My only issue is that it doesn't have a built-in battery. Even a very small one would be useful to even out the charging if the sunlight is not constant, for example, because of intermittent clouds. But that can be easily solved by plugging in a small powerbank... yet it would have been more convenient if it already included one, even just a very small one.

Thank you for testing this solar charger. Is it generating any current under your lamp or outside when cloudy sky?

No way under lamp..and like 10% under cloudy sky...1.5Wh...almost nothing..but better then nothing

@@viocaia Thanks for the information. That means that the light-effinciency is not very high, but you'r right, better than nothing. BTW, where did you buy it. At Alibaba and Banggood there are no Forclaz solar panels.

What is this video telling me? I was after a review of the solar panel, but most of this showed sone electrical meter. Mention was made of a phone with a depleted battery: why? What would have been useful is to know what was bent charged (was it the phone?); what atmospheric conditions were available (how sunny was it?); how well does it produce electricity on a cloudy day;;how reliable is the charge (can it be used to directly charge a phone or would a varying current damage it? Should it be used to charge a power bank first? Basically, how useful is the charger in a hiking situation?

AS good as 15Wh of energy in full sun. Cloudy day, divide that by 10. And that's it! Consider a typical mobile phone with a battery of 15Wh means you will charge it in one hour of perfect sunshine. Positioning of the panel matters too. You can use any electronic device with a standard 5V, it have a electronic inverter which keeps voltage under control. So it can charge a phone, external battery pack, flashlight, radio, tablet …doesn't really matter as long as you have the right ports. If you are camping for longer period of course, charging power banks will be a good idea. I can't say about hiking situations, it's up to your needs, but it can be a lifesaver when your phone is dead...if you cycling and the sun is behind you, just hang it upon your backpack and charge on the way. Gives a few watts anyway, better than nothing.

My Forclaz 900 - 15W charger stopped working after using it 3 times . The complaint was rejected by the retailer

Open it up..take a look inside..maybe is something disconnected or broken..

@@viocaia I actually asked them to dispose of it because I didn't want to waste time to collect the product which just didn't work. It was under warranty, I am not an expert, so I didn;t even think of repairing it. Thanks for your review. Regards.
