I feel she didn't apply any of his suggestions. Which is a shame. Her sound is amazing, no doubt, but she seemed not to really apply what he was trying to teach her.

Really? I think the opposite. She was really making an effort to follow everything he suggested. It's not easy to rethink and re-play how you interpret a piece like this. I think she did an amazing job...
