Love books medicine is soooo hard to get into. If you still have time before you apply you need to get loads of volunteer work at a hospital done plus loads of other extra curricular stuff to make you stand out. UKCAT is also very important so make sure you get lots of training for that

Hey, I would say just make sure you know the texts thoroughly and, especially for the Iliad, that you have read more widely around the epic, such as critics' views and the context in which it is written as I know they really like to have "classical values" thrown in! Just make sure you understand everything as you go along and do lots of past papers and essay practice! x

How in any way is this depressing? She has a lovely room with an absolutely stunning view of Oxford 2:45 (a beautiful historic city filled with amazing architecture), she’s studying in one of the best universities in the world (which was established all the way back in 1096), she has her own personal space without having to share etc. She is doing extremely well for herself. You on the other hand come across as jealous and extremely ignorant.
