Thanks bro! I do know physical and emotional abuse. I was never human trafficked or dealt with SA but I wrote this because it’s something I feel needs to be talked about. I view my music as a way to open up conversations and try to shine the spotlight ppl who the world overlooks. Since writing this song I’ve heard so many ppl share their personal stories of being taken advantage of. They continue to fight for healing. That makes me happy. So, in part yes. I also work with a friend of mine Mary who works with survivors directly. I have never obviously been through trafficking first hand like many of my other songs. I view my music as a way to crack open important discussions so it only seemed right to write this one. I’m soo glad you like it. Please share it as much as you can.
