As a member of the Kenyan aristocracy, I wish to categorically dismiss the concerns raised by these agitators and specifically refute the assertion that tax and government spending are the true issues at hand. The genuine reason behind the unrest is that these individuals did not receive the customary bribes they feel entitled to for supporting a particular candidate. Rather than engaging in rioting, they would prefer to be enriching themselves with corrupt rewards, even if these came from public funds under any pretext.
