Violent clashes between Napoli and Frankfurt football fans

Anger in Naples this morning after running battles last night between police and 'ultra' football fans who clashed with riot police and set cars on fire.
The violence came ahead of the Wed night Champions League match in the city between Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Italian authorities had banned fans of the German club from attending the match due to concern about possible violence, but many Eintracht supporters made the trip to Italy anyway.

Including many ex-Yugoslavs, Arabs and Turkish fans who stand by Frankfurt...the scene is therefore also logically left-wing and keeps friendships with other left-wing scenes. Couldn’t agree more...I e mailed my local club to state I would not turn up if they want me to wear a mask..self distance or take a test they still bowed down to goverment guidelines so instead of football I marched with 750k / 1 million in April 2021...police had muzzles on but could not contain a peaceful crowd, if these supporters turned up perhaps the minority uk goverment could have been physically removed from parliament and put into skips

Maybe time to throw Neaples out of the competition or let them play without fans in their stadium We had neaples fans here - they went into jail for 3 years after throwing fireworks on a family and police men. over 20 injured and that hooligan got 4 years after being caught on camera. has been released after 18 months but send back to italy and can not enter the country - if he would spend the next 3 years in prison again.

Bunch of fannies. I used to live in Italy. Got approached by some Ultras on a non football related trip to Roma. They thought I was English as I was speaking English to a Dutch person. I can't stress enough how average I was but I was an amateur boxer in my teens and managed to more or less punch the head off both of them with little help . Looked like they were dressed by Gok Wan. Ruined my trip.
