In the 35 years or so of listening to this song, I look forward to the Brian Ritchie bass solo every single time.

My parents said I'd have to learn this on bass if they got me one way back in the day. This was the first song I rocked out to then and still now. Except I play a five string now with the bottom two strings tuned to the same note.. so I guess it's still like a 4 string in a way?

I'm just realizing Gordon Gano sounds like a hybrid of Tom Verlaine and Frank Black. So awesome!

Yes! One of my fave bass runs, so wonderfully integrated into the song and the tone in the studio version is golden. The other for me is 'from one cums one" by firehose. Love this, such an amazing and unique album, a lifetime accomplishment for sure.
