I eanted the reunion so bad but I think Taylor wants to show Isabella that her sacrificing Amy, Isabella’s original name before she was discovered to be a York, was worth it. And the only way she can do that is prove Isabella’s sacrifice led to her having the kind of life she always wanted for her!

There’s a short story from Isabelle’s perspective in the collectors edition of this film where she Multiple times refers to Violet as the ‘woman she loves’ and calls her “My Violet” and says her favourite colour is blue because it’s Violet’s eye colour and just the Sight of blonde hair briefly makes her happy. Yall pointed it out but this movie does a lot for the passage of time, mainly the technological advances. We see the radio tower being built, the city no longer uses lanterns like we saw in the main series and now has electricity, we see elevators and phones. Even Benedict's new motorcycle is way more advanced. The next movie does a little bit more with that and I think its a great way to show how much time has passed without outright stating how long its been exactly. Also a cute little detail but Violet calls Taylor Taylor-sama. So she is always treating Taylor as if she was a little lady or a higher status than her. And as for why Amy has to stay hidden, they sort of talk about it but shes not a legitimate child. So they try and hide her lineage from anyone that may find out, which meant cutting off communication with Violet who knew. It still sucks but thats the "nobility" reason why

It’s not the “Four years ago” at the beginning of episode 2, but more like Cattleya saying the air show is the first in five years since they could do it during the four years of war, meaning episode 13 is about one year after episode 1. She did the same thing with Anne as well. I really like the particular way Violet talks. It’s a level of detail that they didn’t need to include, but they did. One of my favourite details is how she says “It seems-“ when she isn’t certain enough to say “Understood, sir/ma’am”, but also doesn’t want to ask for clarification.

While really enjoyed this movie, I feel a bit cheated like you ladies, that we didn’t get a reunion between the sisters. Especially since their bond was so sweetly done. I agree that Amy/Isabella deserve way better. Happy that lovely little Taylor was adopted into a good family and found a new big bro in Benedict.

the first part of the story is kind of weak in my opinion but the second part of the movie is great hope there will be 3rd movie about taylor as a mail carrier and the reunion for the first part and violet after the 2nd movie for the second part
