Violet's First River Duck Hunt | The Grind S10:E13

It’s the very end of the season, and The Grind makes one last stop to hunt with Josh and Keith Parvin from Cornerstone Gundog Academy, and their dog Violet. Violet was trained with Cornerstone’s platform, and this hunt is Violet’s first river hunt and only second hunt ever. The waves of mallards with Skeen Outfitters keep her busy.

I sure enjoyed seeing the great job the Cornerstone Academy program did with this young female retriever. MOST OF ALL I like a training program that does NOT USE AN ELECTRIC SHOCK COLLAR. Great job Cornerstone 👏

Good info i started training my lab at a 9 weeks me being retired military i have all the time in the world. My lab was 10 months old on opening day and he got 16 birds his first hunt he got over 500 birds his first season all on the missouri river and sunriver in Montana. His farthest retrieve on the missouri was about 200 yards before he caught up to the goose now almost 2 he is a beast. Ive learned how my dog reacts to me and how my dog needs me to point him in the right area when multiple birds down i just tell him good boy when he is looking in the right area.

@@gravitysucks08 I think I stated that in my first commitment... Dog did really well. Especially if it was truly its first ever hunt. But seemed like the trainer was a little star struck. If this is the first dog he's ever trained to do this. I feel he may want to train a couple more before selling his secrets.... Wink.

The designers of this program have won multiple, especially in Ireland. Southern oak kennels works with cornerstone, and they have multiple dogs that have won the IGL.
