Violette is so well-spoken and bright...Also very well educated. She is one of the most Musical dancers I ever met...I always loved working with her....

Violette was a dancer who comes along maybe once in a generation, if we are fortunate. She had immense vision and artistry as well as great focus, discipline and a wonderful instrument. She was creative, tireless, highly intelligent and intuitive. She was also kind, generous, thoughtful, hilariously funny and had the most delightful laugh. I was fortunate to spend hours with her not only in the studio, but also at rest, at dinner parties and other social occasions, but best of all some wonderful conversations one on one over wine late in the evening. Treasured moments and memories with a very great lady.

She is without a doubt one of the smartest people I have ever met. She speaks so eloquently and radiates pure sunshine even when she is giving a correction

Thank you for your lovely comment. Violette toured with our company for many years and every morning she would greet the company with her brilliant smile and charming French accent that filled the room with joy. She appeared at the first performances of my company and years later appeared for her last performance. Yes, once in a generation we were fortunate to be touched by someone so wonderful.

Jill, thanks for your kind comments. I finally got around to releasing a photo book journal this month, 'Stars of American Ballet.' Violette was the first star to appear with the company and four years later did her final perfromance with 'Stars.' She was a wonderful dancer and equally a wonderful person who brought joy to everyone she met. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o2jchXWElp2fY5o

The interviewer is going too fast. A speed interview. He asks spitfire questions hardly taking in the answers. It's very hard to listen to. Makes me jittery.
