Prof Miriam is obviously a magnificent great performer But based on my own personal experiences l found late Yehudi Menuhin to be extremely kind, humane and respectful with his pupils. ❤

Fabulous masterclass!

She is very intimidating.
@gsm24242 жыл бұрын
No she isnt...she is extremely serious and passionate about music, and she wants the student to be good.
@duggiefresh81702 жыл бұрын
@@gsm2424 totally agree. She is intimidating and very demanding though. I think only certain students would benefit. Only the best. The lesson is very granular in detail. Perhaps it gets more macroscopic later.

She is great. Every note has a meaning. It 's how they teach in Moscow Conservatory. I was so happy to hear this masterclass. Thanks.

Possibly she adapts her style to the student? He was VERY lazy with dynamics and articulation, particularly at that level.

Any player with talent will be playing better after a masterclass with her. As an aside ; Moonlight Sonata is sentimental.

Moonlight is not sentimental

@@danny_chestnut253 Yes. It is. It is also dark and brooding.

Ella no hace ningún comentario sobre el piano. La música de cámara no es un solo de violín con acompañamiento de piano. Una pena...

Meh. I'll take the Franco-Belgium school of violin playing any day. Give me Grumiaux.
@danny_chestnut253 Жыл бұрын
Miriam Fried's teacher was of the franco-belgium school of violin playing so I don't know what you mean by your comment.

Oh boy, she is so entitled. It's like she is mad the whole time. She can say all these things while actually connecting to the student rather than constantly making fun of him to prove her point. I mean a little bit of human approach rather than bossing around.

Oh boy, how about you stick to observations about Disney tunes instead of engaging in character assassination against one of the greatest living pedagogues. She's not being unkind. She's inviting him to be more attentive.

@@erikleveille7231 Just because she is a great violinist, it doesn't mean everybody has to worship her. She is an amazing violinist, yes, but she doesn't have a positive personality and I am not the only one who says this. Ask some of greatest violinists of the era who know her closely. I would rather stick to Disney tunes than being submissive which seems to be more of your style.
