Hi there!
Welcome to my channel! My name is Mimi, and this is the first video in a new series (playlist: Bite Size Practicing) which I've decided to pursue in addition to the current Learning One Paganini Caprice/Week project.
I realized that I don't always get to elaborate about my practicing methods during the Paganini videos, and I wanted to be able to respond to any practicing requests/questions left in the comments.
I hope that my videos will be useful and interesting, and as always, please feel free to leave any feedback or requests in the comments down below!

Dear Mimi, --I am so honored to have you use my question in your first video!! I watch a lot of "how to" violin videos on youtube and this video was written, organized and presented at the very highest level. Thank you. --Your answers confirmed a suspicion I had about the "blocks". I'll have to think about a sytematic way of looking for/practicing them. I do know music theory, the problem is I'm just clumsy with my fingers moving such small amounts on the violin fingerboard. I have seen (last year) the Rodney Friend video and really liked it.

So thank you for being open and asking the question :) While you're searching for systematic ways of looking for/practicing the blocks, it never hurts to work with really tiny chunks at first while focusing primarily on the tactile sensations of the left hand fingers while playing. It's amazing what shifting focus to a specific idea will bring to light. Thanks for watching the video and cheers to practicing 🤓!!!
