Hi am now learning violin at age 69 Always love music. but I have arthritis in my left fingers so I am having difficulty playin C Sharp and D on the A string Am desperate😫😫 Am checking every video possible for help Any suggestions😫

You might just have to learn to shift to reach those notes as an alternative method. Have taught 2 elderly people with arthritis

TO ADD TO THIS EXCELLENT LESSON. PLACE INDEX FINGER ON F ON (E),PLACE SECOND FINGER ON C ON (A) STRING. PLACE THIRD FINGER ON G ON (D) STRING. PLACE FOURTH FINGER ON D ON G STRING. ALL FINGERS DOWN AT THE SAME TIME. NOW, LIFT ONE FINGER UP 1/2 INCH AND STRIKE FINGERBOARD. DO WITH ALL FINGERS. HELPS CORRECTION OF ELBO ANGLE, MUSCLE STRENGTH . DO 5 OF EACH FINGER. "VIOLIN PLAYING AS I TEACH IT" LEOPOLD AUER. 1845-1930 MIA BANG HAS AUER'S INSTRUCTIONS IN A 4-BOOK PUBLISHING.
