Lyrics:
ರಾಮನಾಮ ಒಂದೇ ಸಾಕು ಬಾಳದಾರಿಗೆ |
ಬೇರೆ ಭಾಗ್ಯವೇಕೆ ರಾಮನಾಮ ಸಾಲದೆ ?
~~~~~~
ರಾಮರಾಮರಾಮರಾಮ ರಆಮ ಎನ್ನುವಾ |
ಪ್ರೇಮದಿಂದ ಕರೆಯೆ ರಾಮ ಬಂದು ಸಲಹುವ ||
~~~~~~
ಹುಟ್ಟು ಸಾವು ದಡಗಳೆರಡು ನಡುವೆ ಕಾಲುವೆ
ನಲಿವು ನೋವು ಹಲವು ಭಾವ ಹರಿವ ಕಾಲುವೆ |
ಹರಿದು ಹರಿದು ದಣಿವ ಜೀವ ನೀನು ಮಾನವ
ಒಮ್ಮೆ ನೀನು ಜಪಿಸಿ ನೋಡು ರಾಮನಾಮವಾ ||
~~~~~~
ನಿನ್ನೆ ನಿನ್ನದೆಂಬುದೆಲ್ಲ ನಾಳೆ ಯಾರದೋ
ಇಂದು ಕಳೆಯೆ ನಾಳೆಯೊಂದು ಬಹುದೋ ಬಾರದೋ |
ಬದುಕಿನೆರಡು ಕ್ಷಣವು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾಲು ಮಾನವ
ಎಲ್ಲ ಮರೆದು ನೆನೆಯೋ ನೀನು ರಾಮನಾಮವ ||
About the album:
In the midst of tumultuous times, where echoes of discord reverberated across the country, the "Ayodhya" album emerged as a melodic prayer for peace, harmony, and divine intervention.
Conceived in the year 1990 by the visionary composer, Dr. Violin Chandru, and the eloquent lyricist, Dr. VV Gopal, the album became a poignant response to the local and global unrest prevailing due to the controversies surrounding Ayodhya and war unfolding in the Middle East. The depth and emotions of the prayers were unparallelly delivered by four remarkable singers; Shankar Shanbhogue, the late G.V. Athri, Kasturi Shankar and Manjula Gururaj.
Driven by a profound desire to address the pain and suffering of the people, the creators of this album embarked on a humble plea to Lord Rama. They sought solace in the belief that the divine intervention of Lord Rama could transcend earthly conflicts and bring about a resolution to the prevailing discord.
Each composition within the album serves as a musical narrative, intricately woven with special meaning, reflecting the myriad qualities of Lord Rama and the complex situations on earth that, in the eyes of the composer and lyricist, only Lord Rama could untangle.
The album, like a timeless offering, stood as a testament to faith and hope, waiting for the auspicious moment when its plea would find resonance in the hearts of those who held the power to create change.
The culmination of this ardent devotion manifested in the pran pratishthapan of Lord Ram Lalla in Ayodhya on January 22, 2024. This sacred event symbolizes a rebirth for the world, where the resounding mantra of harmony, respect, love, and mutual success will guide each inhabitant of the earth.
As the dawn of this new era unfolds, the creators express their deepest gratitude to Prime Minister Modiji and every saint, leader, and dedicated worker who, with unwavering determination, played pivotal roles in making this momentous occasion a reality after 500 years.
For the artists, whose plea to Lord Rama was encapsulated in the timeless melodies of the "Ayodhya" album, this 34-year wait has finally seen light and hope.
In the spirit of celebration and unity, the creators humbly exclaim, "Jai Shri Ram!" - heralding not only a musical triumph but a collective triumph of faith, perseverance, and the enduring power of divine grace.
