A beautiful kit, I think I would use a really big q snap frame or embroidery frame so all of it was inside

Wow, i thought fully beaded projects are only popular here in Ukraine. I have one wip however it is on plain even weave, not preprinted, and we usually use Czech beads, Chinese are not very calibrated. You can check my video i posted recently where i show this wip. I suggest to use 2 strands. And pick up the most calibrated beads first. You do not need to skip colors, just stitch full row picking up the color / bead you need as you go.
