"Wawa REEL 2025" (Demon) by Subpixel, fJud, TriStorm & more | Geometry Dash 2.2

This is a really nice modern megacollab by many talented creators. It's inspired by motion graphic collections, with each part having its own concept and fitting song (and often font too). There have been some levels that switch themes, colors, styles, and more per part, especially after 2.2 thanks to the song trigger. However, I like how this level focuses on motion graphics in every part and sticks to a modern style for the most part, as it ties it together despite the strict separations between parts. I think some of the parts leave a bit to be desired in detail, but it was clearly a point to focus more on smooth motion graphics rather than detail in this. There's also the fact that it was made in just 2 weeks. Additionally, I personally find it cool that the cards after each part clearly credit who helped create it. There are many cases where I struggle to figure out who made what in a megacollab, and it's important for me to credit everyone appropriately (as you can see below).
As for the gameplay, I have to say that it's a mixed bag. For one, while the credits for each part look nice and help me find out who made everything, they ruin the gameplay flow quite a bit. I don't think it's possible to fix this with a megacollab idea like this sadly, so there isn't much they could've done. These awkward transitions into the next parts are still worth noting, though. Within each part, there are also some unpredictable animations, which makes the gameplay hard to read. As a result, the level requires some memorization here and there, while some parts don't. I think the team behind this did a good job of executing the idea visually, but it's just not the most suitable to create enjoyable gameplay. Still, I could see this getting an Epic rating, depending on how other Moderators and the community find the gameplay.

This level looks really cool with all the smooth motion graphics, and it's awesome that it was made so fast! The gameplay has some tricky parts, such as sudden transitions, but the overall awesome vibe I get from this level really makes up for it.

For once im gonna post a more serious comment so please read if possible!!! I originally wasn’t actually a part of this level whatsoever. I’ll be honest when I say that beforehand I just wanted to be in more collabs with others I already talk to but are more out there with the community than I am at this current time, I felt like an outsider to a section of the community I know I’d fit in even if I am a bit all over the place in terms of my personality. Rayzn and Tristorm gave me the opportunity to make a quick part in like 2 days to have subpixel throw it into the mix if it matched the quality of the other parts. Needless to say I think I cooked 🗣️🗣️ But yeah I just wanna say ty to Ray and Tri, as well as everyone else who’s gotten me to this point. Maybe next you’ll see one of my solos here or smth lol.
