I have experienced a raft flip in this rapid. I think the name of the rapid is roller coaster. I was stuck under the raft and couldn’t come up and breathe until the entire rapid stretch was over. Definitely one of the most scariest experiences of my life.

@@manas142 यही बात बोलकर 3 बंदे हमारे घर के पास नदी में डूबकर मर गए। वो 4 बंदे थे, शहर से आए थे पहाड़ घूमने। किसी को भी तैरना नहीं आता था। लेकिन चुल तो थी, 2 ने decide किया, नदी के बीच में वैसे भी नहीं जाएंगे, लेकिन किनारे किनारे fun कर लेते हैं, तीसरा भी उनके दिए जोश और daring दिखाने के चक्कर में उनके साथ नदी में उतर गया। चौथा नहीं गया(हालांकि उन्होंने उसको फोर्स तो किया ही होगा, यही बातें बोली होंगी जो तुम कह रहे)..फिर क्या डूब गए तीनों। निकल गई सारी हिम्मत। और परिवार पर जो बीती वो अलग।

I agree. Comment section is full of people who neither have empathy nor brains. I have done rafting in Rishikesh. Yes, we knew the risk- it's called adventure sports for a reason. But still it's not funny to have this kind of accident. Our group was mostly girls. The tour guide didn't want unnecessary risk. So they gave us a different starting point which had less rapids. We compromised since none of us were experienced anyway. Guide compensated in another way and told us we could take a dip in mid river. So three of us jumped in the river (one at a time) and after a few minutes he would pull us back on the raft. We had the life jackets and held on the side of the raft so the risk was controlled. Third person did get in a trouble a bit as when he jumped, we were near a rapid. And guide let him hang in there till we crossed it so that raft stayed up. He got cramp in neck.

​@@Surelife-y4sshivpuri 18 kms is the best . u can experience 4 rapids and enjoy , u will not feel hungry/restless as its 1.5 hrs. and listen to guide always, wear ur helmet properly and life jacket tightly, when raft flips try not be under the raft , if you are under the raft then push the raft aside by holding ur breath and side se bahar ajana . it's almost safe . 1 among 10 rafts flip not all

I have also done rafting last week. It was thrilling,but the guide we got have a very rude attitude,One we reach the still water ,he said us to jump right into water,I was under water for 5min I guess,My hands are paining that's why I asked him please let me out of water and come to boat I said how to come up,he said like you entered water u got to come up.he was not giving us a proper guide also. It was my first experience and I would recommend ki please choose a good guide

I went for river rafting in rishikesh in 2022 with my family and had a black out when a rapid hit the boat (I was dehydrated and had an empty stomach) but luckily I didn't fell in the water as I moved a little inwards as soon as i started feeling uneasy and neither did our boat flip , I was truly saved by God that day! 🙏

Bhaisaab hum teen dost chal Gaye the yahi rafting mein. Rapids mein palat Gaye and sirf Maine paddle last Tak pakad rakha tha helping avoid any rocks. It was scary. Esp when one amongst us did not know how to swim and panicked despite being in life jacket. He was so scared he almost pushed us down to keep his head out of water.

There's no need to be harsh on people who understand the situation. People fall, and they all laugh; it's natural. It's not like somebody is dying or something. ✌️

People act differently in situations like that, even though they know very well what they're going to get from it. It's similar to other adventure sports or activities where they hesitate, scream, get nervous, and pray to God... But they still enjoy it, for the most part. And it's good to know that you care. 😀✌️

One girl died in front of my raft in 2019 ,after falling with side of the head inside the water, she got panicked and didn’t turn up ,it could be life taking sometimes.

I also did rafting in rishikesh not going to try again it's very risky. Even though our raft didn't flip still I'll not recommend to do that. Playing or making fun at holy rivers of India at very high speed is not joke😢
