Are people in textland not aware of how family works? Like how changing your last name doesn't change family relations. Some of them seem to also think that divorce also makes one of the parents no longer a parent.

Oh, it does. Did you know that on the change of name document, it says you renounce and reject that name and everything that is related to it. I found it wonderful when I signed those documents !!. I disowned my father and changed my name so I would not have anything to do with him and changing my name was such a powerful move and such a great feeling, i not only legally have changed my name but emotionally as well, it was to me a perfect way to cut him out of my life in every way possible !!. Also if you divorce you are no longer related to the ex husbands family, so they are right you no longer have any in laws.

She invited Rachel and her lover to come home. Then told her daughter in law you need to foot the bill. Oh and only gives 24 hour notice. Then the chef’s kiss is Olivia threatened her with divorce from her son. Wow she is as crazy as her daughter!

Poor Samantha, her mother about as self centered as they come. There’s no excuse for her behavior, she knows what it’s like to give birth but she doesn’t think twice about stressing her daughter out when she’s heavily pregnant. I can tell right from the get go that Samantha wanted to keep her distance from her mother. She doesn’t care about either of her daughters well being.

In China, you don't actually buy any property. You buy a standard 70 year lease on new homes & on older homes, they'll say how much of the lease is left. The CCP actually owns all the properties. Weird, huh?

I have a suggestion. When it says "Next day" or "3 month later" or any time passage, could those parts be read out loud? I usually listen without watching the screen. Those parts being audible would be wonderful.
