Virelai is based in Denmark and plays music from the middle ages and from the Danish folk tradition. The repertoire includes dancing melodies from the south of Europe as well as old Nordic ballads and songs.
Gennem de nordiske ballader og Mellemeuropas danse melodier, arbejder vi med de nordiske og europæiske musiks rødder, den folkelige middelalder. Og oplever at musikkens kompositioner og lyd, spillet på de gamle instrumenter, vækker noget genkendeligt i folk, noget vi har til fælles.

Well, as it stands in the foreword, they play music from middle europe, so its not quite a Danish song. but up here in northern Europe , we ar from the past related, once, we were one people. so great , you reconniced the song :-) . and youre right, the song is the same
