You’ve been following our endeavor of the serial broadcast opera project Vireo, by composer/artist Lisa Bielawa - developed through an artist-in-residence of CSUF Grand Central Art Center, in collaboration with KCET Artbound - Thank You!
The Vireo team now has episodes 1-9 filmed and edited, with only three more in this twelve-part production to capture. We are in the homestretch! Our excitement is building as we continue to work hard toward the filming of episodes 10-12, with the release of the entire series scheduled for spring of 2017 on KCET!

As you can imagine, a production of this caliber and quality takes quite a bit of financial support to realize. We have done a great job so far to make it happen, staying on and even under budget for episodes. Our plans for the last three episodes are big, so we need your help to realize this vision to its fullest.

To provide you an update on our progress and a little sneak preview of the overall project, we’ve worked with the outstanding team at KCET on this new “Behind the Scenes” video, which features scenes from episode 9 filmed on Alcatraz this past July.
Please know that contributions of all size truly matter, as our team knows how to stretch every dollar to its fullest potential, but our GCAC goal is to secure an additional $100,000 by the end of December.
