End of a long day in the studio, and 7/16 was tugging at my brain. No plan, no overthinking--just hit record and let it run for four minutes, before I laid the sticks to rest.

What impresses me most is not the technicality (which is incredible), but the musicality. It's just so listenable. Same reason Ringo is one of my favourite drummers, though his technicality was not, to put it mildly, first rank, he had great musicality. And for me, that musicality is the combination of rhythm, appropriate composition for the piece at hand, and invention. Bravo, Virgil.
