It sure was a hot day. Even with a 6:55 am start, I was struggling in the heat. Got to Kyalami in 1h08 and was heading for a sub-3... but the climbing and heat in the second half slowed me down and I eventually finished with a 3h11. Looking forward to the three races in February 2024.

Well done Brad that heat was killer especially the 2nd half of the race. I could only manage 4h39

We just needed to train for the weather. I had 9h25 start and mostly I ride out around 6am, so the heat got to me. At 2hrs I was at monte casino but that last 40km with Hyde park and Jan Smuts had me cramping all the way🤣. I will definitely be joining you with Monte Casino and Emperors. There's also Dischem on the 18th of February. By the way this was my 1st race ever 🕺🏾🕺🏾🕺🏾

Nice on your 1st race! its probably the hardest one haha. The Emperors is a great ride.. its very fast and has about half the amount of elevation!

It is a GoPro hero 7 silver. I used a handlebar mount, positioned on the stem
