Where I live the main year round options to London are between British Airways and Virgin Atlantic. British Airways use to operate the 777 but have now switched to the 787. Virgin Atlantic operates the A330-300 which will be replaced by the A330-900 Neo. From December to March, Virgin operated all their aircraft A330-300, A330-900, Boeing 787, and A350 on the route depending on the day. I have flown with Virgin on four occasions, even sometimes when Virgin is about $100 more. My main reasons: on the A330 I prefer the 2-4-2 cabin layout, however the MAIN reason is that for a little more I can fly Economy Delight with the Extra Legroom. British Airways doesn't offer that. I would have to choose Premium Economy (World Traveler Plus), which is significantly more expensive. Virgin wins out everytime for me simply because of the option of Economy Delight.

I agree. It’s great because you can get more legroom without going premium.

How was the seat comfort and customer service

Customer service at the airport and onboard was very good. Did actually have to change the flight a few months before and the Virgin Atlantic support over the phone was great too. As for the seat, it was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend springing for economy delight for the extra legroom and recline. Only $50 more per way, and was way better than standard economy .
