This was the final stretch of 3 flights to Melbourne Victoria. As this was another connection flight in Sydney we did not have time to do a complete report on Sydney Airport. I am able to shoot out the bus window on our way to the domestic terminal. We had to run thru the gates after security and we were the last ones on the plane. However, this flight showcases the beautiful scenery as we leave Sydney. During the climb out of Sydney we break thru an epic set of clouds that makes for a very sensational experience. Also, the approach and landing gets gorgeous views of Melbourne from the north looking towards Phillip's Bay and the surrounding landscape.
Virgin Australia, with their slogan "Bring on Wonderful", is exactly right. When you are flying in beautiful Australia it feels wonderful. An exceptional staff for a quick flight over to Melbourne that Virgin runs everyday. We enjoyed our short flight... and being done with a 27 hour travel day. Virgin Australia is the trading name of Virgin Australia Airlines Pty Ltd. It is an Australian-based airline. It is the largest airline by fleet size to use the Virgin brand. It commenced services on 31 August 2000 as Virgin Blue, with two aircraft on a single route.
Sydney Kingsford Smith Airport is an international airport in Sydney, Australia, located 8 km south of the Sydney central business district, in the suburb of Mascot. Sydney airport is known as the gateway to Australia. It is under significant construction as it expands and Australia travel grows.
We are flying a 10 year old Boeing 737-800 Series aircraft with the iconic Virgin Australia livery. This plane is very gorgeous. The interior feels uniquely virgin and uniquely Australia.
