The uniqueness of Valtorta's visions is that there are corroborating facts which demonstrate their veracity, e.g. the finding of Lazarus' Jerusalem mansion in the mid-1980s where Valtorta's visions indicated it would be and in the 1990s subsequent excavations which support her descriptions.

After Mary speaks about Her Assumption, Jesus also does so on 1st May 1946. He says: "the soul that keeps the body alive while it is united to it....has in itself a more noble part: the soul of the soul, or spirit of the spirit...". This is spoken about elsewhere in Jesus' dictations to Maria Valtorta, i.e. the spirit as the nobler part of the soul. As the Catholic Church teaches, we are not 3 DISTINCT parts: body, soul and spirit. We are 2 distinct parts: body and soul; the soul containing the aforementioned additional aspect of spirit. Only in this sense can we speak of body, soul and spirit. To have included this commentary of Jesus in the video would have made it too lengthy. However, I may read the dictation at another time, so as to clear up any confusion.

Even in this quotation you're using, Mary speaks of the spirit going one way and the soul another. We are tripartite beings. It is the Spirit, breathed into the body which creates the human soul, making humans the only created being which has this miraculous phenomenon. To dismiss the Spirit and make it disappear, as if by a mental magic trick, is a mistake. The next step in this mistake is going to be to dismiss the soul and to consider the human being as ONLY a body, and this is what AI is all about. We have to fight against this reductionism, this flattening of experience. We must reconnect to the hierarchy of the heavens, which is Spirit.

Excellent video, but a little intricate in the theology of soul, spirit (= mind?) and body. I suppose soul is our vital force and spirit (mind?) is the rudder of the soul. So when the Blessed Virgin Mary says that her spirit departed from her body, this means that at that moment she put herself completely in the hands of God. Anyway, there is an astonishing beauty in this story.

One of the main proofs that Maria Valtorta's works are genuine is that they have not been accepted by the Vatican 2 sect. They are the most beautiful books I have ever read and we get fantastic portraits of Jesus and Mary and all the characters of the New Testament. Nothing against the Gospels: just fills them out. It's a pity that Mel Gibson didn't base his movie on Valtorta rather than Emmerich. Emmerich is heavily flawed.

I have not seen Mel Gibson's movie, but I have read "the Poem of the Man-God" several times. The Book is always better than the movie; so why bother with the movie, if you have read the Book? As we age and our physical body loses functionality and beauty it would be not wished to have to 'keep occupying it into the eternal future'.. that would be not a good thought at all, but to have an etheric body of glorified immortal light substance that is youthful but similar and even a perfection of the original flesh body in it's youth in appearance would be a wonderful thought! So, if we were at one time in eternity to meet the likes of Abraham or Moses or KIng David, would they be as senior patriarchal figures, or would they be as 'young men' ?? :))

In Maria Valtorta's diaries (I cannot recall the date), she saw a crowd of people who seem composed of light, but she was gradually able to distinguish aspects of some of them (I think she was of the view that God may have made the vision so, to enable her to make visual distinctions) and noted a particular patrician male with an extremely authoritative and severe stare, whom she concluded may have been Moses. However, this was all before the General Resurrection when, as the Holy Church teaches, we shall be reunited with our bodies which, for the saved, will be glorified spiritual bodies. I think the key point is that we will be recognisable before the General Resurrection by some key features inherent in our souls; after the GR, our reunited bodies will be an additional and more physical demonstration of our personalities. From the above point about Valtorta possibly having seen Moses, I would conclude that the mature qualities of persons, as achieved on earth, will inhere in them in Heaven, so that a, possibly, bodily young Moses would still exude the qualities of the old patriarch.

The soul is the life force every creature has, even though there’s four distinct types of souls: vegetative, sensitive, rational and intellectual. This truth was revealed by Aristotle. The spirit is that which decides to do either good or evil. This is what distinguishes between angelic spirits and evil spirits; one does the will of God while the other does not.

Pray to the Father the Almighty to remember about this responsibility. LOVE ONE ANOTHER. Reach out for Christ to remember this. TAKE CARE AFTER THE YOUNG ONES - pray to the Holy Mother. At about 7:30 of this video, Mary describes her Son's "Divine and huma nature, true God and true Man". You may have missed it. For my part, I may have missed where in this video Mary says than humans repulse her. However, you might be referring to her anguish after the Crucifixion on Good Friday; if you think that Her purity rendered Her an unemotional robot, then your criticism would have a point. However, She was of flesh and blood, like us, save for the absence of actual and Original Sin. "Repulsion" is not a sin. Jesus in Valtorta felt it about Judas. Do you consider that inappropriate, too?

The Poem, like Sr Faustina's Divine Mercy, was on the Index of Prohibited Books which was abolished in 1966. Since then, the Divine Mercy has been rehabilitated. The Poem has not. However, the Index is no longer existing and there being no official pronouncement from the Church, the Poem cannot be said to be condemned. It is in a grey zone where eminent theologians and clergymen extol it, but there is no embrace by Rome. There are websites which give lots of information, including the credible statement of two priests to whom Pius XII gave his endorsement of the Poem in the late 1940s/early 1950s. It is an incontrovertible fact that the Poem was NOT placed on the Index until AFTER Pius XII had died, thus lending credence to the aforementioned priests' statements. Note that the Divine Mercy was by contrast condemned both both Pius XII and John XXIII. So, if it can now be at the pinnacle of liturgical life, then there should be no reason to doubt that there will be a similar renaissance for the Poem. Finally, my first dozen videos give objective reasons for considering the Poem to be of supernatural origin. Those alone should suffice to lead a curious Catholic to explore deeply this majestic work.
