Love that he mentions “Sleepwalk” by Santo and Johnny as his earliest memory of a song getting deep in his head and heart

Love Midge’s honesty and grounded personality. Having seen him yet again at the Royal Albert Hall, 041023 and 70, he remains a great talent. ❤❤

Saw Midge at the Barrowlands at the weekend. Just brilliant. I never thought I’d see these tracks played live and was totally blown away. If you are a fan of Midge / Visage / Ultravox get a ticket for the 1980 Tour.

Just watched a 1981 concert of Thin Lizzy to discover that neither Gary More or John Sykes were there but Midge Ure (that I didn't know) was doing an incredible job. I didn't know that great player. I was in Glasgow and Edinburgh touring in 2018 & 2019 in the great Scotland area. Great conversation ! Thanks for letting us know more of this great artist ! Peace from Quebec, Canada ! ✌

Midge is the man. I met him a couple years ago on his acoustic tour and he was great. I had him sign my "Do They Know It's Christmas" 12", while everyone was having him sign Ultravoxx and is solo stuff LOL

TRIVIA: "Midge" is just the phonetic reversal for "Jim," his real name. This occurred when the erstwhile Jim Ure joined Jim McGinlay's band; McGinlay was the one who coined Jim Ure's new given name. Thus: Jim -> Mij -> Midge (because simply spelling it "M-I-J" would have made it look too foreign, hence "M-I-D-G-E," where the "e" is silent and the "dg" maps to "j").
