I think it was recorded during the 2000s not 1988

I love this song, and De Martino's bass at its best, like on the entire Invictus album. The Invictus era was the best VS lineup imho.

Did virgin Steele fucking invent 90s groove metal with this song

Nope... 1°) It's unsure when this song was recorded, either it's genuinely 1988, and for some weird reason, it didn't made it to the "Age Of Consent" album, either it's a song from the 90's, and it came obviously after the actual Groove Metal genre... + it strangely ressembles ManOwaR's song "The Demon's Whip", from their 1992 "The Triumph Of Steel" album, the mysterious spoken intro, the riff, the acceleration... it's as if one of the band copied the other, I hardly believe in a coincidence. 2°) The roots of Groove Metal come from the 70's, listen to songs like "Raw Deal" by Judas Priest, from their 1977's "Sin After Sin" album, or even some early Black Sabbath's songs, such as "N.I.B." from their debut, or "War Pigs" and "Iron Man" from their second album, bith released in 1970.

@@Debiruman1666 okay calm down i wasn't being that serious, also arguably groove metal came from thrash so that whole part about 70s rock is not a real fact its more of a theory/something you want to be true.

The main riff is way ahead for his time. Cool.

Yeah when David DeFeis allowed Pursino´s play as good he is.....I don´t understand why why whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy nowadays Pursino doesn´t plays as quiet good he was...

+Xoan García (Sean Wolfson) I have my theory : that's because Pursino doesn't play most of recorded guitar tracks since "Visions Of Eden"... I'm pretty sure that most guitars tracks are computer/electronic tracks done with a composing software... if you compare everything they did since "Visions Of Eden" with everything they did before, the guitars were way more "real" before, Pursino was all over the place, killing riffs, killing licks, killing solos, and with a "real" guitar sound, unlike now where most guitar tracks sound electronic... And I also do believe that's the reason why David puts so much vocal tracks everywhere now, with shrieks, grunts and all, in order to hide the lack of real guitars... on the last album, you can't spend 20 seconds without hearing David doing something with his mouth, I kinda like the album, but it becomes annoying to a point... I think that Virgin Steele now suffers from the fact that David writes and records more or less everything he can on his own, and when they meet, Pursino records what he can, according to the time he has... but if you ask me if that's him on 100% of the guitar tracks, I may be wrong, but I'd clearly say no, without a doubt, and I'm pretty sure that he's not even on 50% of the guitar tracks since VOE... as I'm pretty sure there's no real drummer or bassist on the albums since VOE... if not since "House Of Atreus"...

+Debiruman1666 a sad fact when you are ruinning yourself a great band for selphishness or desire for prominence, I really love the times of Virgin Steele until House of Atreus ages
