Decades ago, I watched an eagle at Deception Pass State Park, WA go after a sea gull. The eagle was relentless in pursuit of the gull. The entire chase lasted close to three minutes. The gull was tiring from all the maneuvering in flight. The eagle closed the distance. On what would have been the last diving turn , a raven flew in behind the eagle raking it's back and breaking up the attack. Wish I could have filmed it. Have never seen anything like that since. Enjoy your waterfowl adventures. Keep up the good work!

What helps me is to only take half of the paddle. I have that exact same paddle (Walmart 😁), you don't need both sides of it and it's quieter and less motion. Alot easier to lay in front of you while you pick up your gun when you see those wood ducks on the side of the creek 👍
@jeremy281352 жыл бұрын
Also, I can't get that d@m% sticker off the paddle either 😁

@@HokeOutdoors Bald eagles are surprisingly all over the bayou. I think they have made a rapid comeback. But those hunters that are hunting deeper water where they are hunting out of a boat and leave the birds out for a while until they take the boat and go pick them up will sometimes have them swoop down and take a shot bird off the water lol.
