Humphrey - what a guy! Every interview about the show is like groundhog day for him, but he never looks pissed off or irritated about having to explain the story over & over & over again. He just rolls it out every time, almost word for word. Yes it's in his job as the frontman of the club I know, but it would do my nut in _personally_ . I wish there was 'Skip Intro' button ala Netflix etc, to jump to the interviewers actual questions....is the story of what's going on at the club even _needed_ anymore? Unless you've been living under a rock for the last 3yrs I guess... 🤷♂

I couldn't have said it better myself! Indeed HUMPHREY is "Joy(ful) in a world gone mad!" Great interview! I didn't know of Humphrey's naval historical novel nerd-ship and it just makes him even more interesting and endearing. He is such a wonderful, valued, eloquent and instrumental part of this ongoing fabulous story!

If the Wrexham AFC endeavor were a movie, Humphrey would be it's Narrator. He is the viewers lens into the story.

The propaganda part of the Wrexham story (meaning the show) is top tier... and I genuinely mean that as a compliment. It hits all the right notes at the right times... but something like that can't really be manufactured properly... it has to be organic. Combining it with real world "on field" success... and a massive community turnout for support... it is quite the epic sports fairytale type situation. Good interview

Hit the nail on head over post industrial decline . U.S Reagan and U.K Thatcherite economics have created a widening class gulf, because replacing high skilled , better paid* work with low paid and insecure zero hours call center work is not providing. Nor is the financial bubble generating the wealth in the SE of England providing the taxes required to ensure needs services . Trickle down economics failure 101. In the U.S there is land and opportunity to basically abandon entire cities and start again from scratch , ghost towns in the rust belt , the UK does not have that luxury, nor the luxury of having culture war between Liberal middle class thinking and Capitalist Tory upper class thinking, to solve the problems created by economic mismanagement. For socialism (moderate) to be in control , will still take decades to restore the imbalance, and people not sold on the lies that stock market gambling, and property restriction inflation, is a safe future for all.
