Similar to the Cold Stares, in they are a more recent band that I hadn't heard that returns to more of the classic rock and/or early 90s rock sound. In this case more of a Southern rock sound. They sounded a lot like The Black Crowes who were a great 90s band, in particular the lead singer sounded similar enough that I had to check to see if it was the same guy. It wasn't but it did say they were influenced by the Black Crowes. You should definitely check out the Black Crowes sometime. "Remedy," "She Talks to Angels," and "Hard to Handle" would be good ones.

as a fellow Canadian and Toronto native, this gives me hope for possibly more Canadian content here. maybe bands like: The Tragically Hip, Matthew Good Band, or Matthew Good (solo), The Sheepdogs, The Glorious Sons, The Trews and maybe even Finger Eleven. I could go on forever, by including The Tea Party and Our Lady Peace as a couple of more names worth checking out.

Once again, well done on your reaction. I have never heard this band either, but I like what they do.The mixture of B-3 orgain and guitars is well done. But I do have to point to your statement here that you've listened to Led Zeppelin. Considering that they were one of the trend setters in rock music, you have not spent enough time with Led Zeppelin. I would like to see you spend as much time exploring them as you have the Beatles and Queen. In order to understand how groups like The Commoners got where they are, studying the formative groups like Led Zeppelin and their evolution is important.

I was going to suggest that they sounded like a cross between The Black Crowes and Bad Company, but you beat me to it.

They kind of sound like a formulaic copy of the Black Crowes to me. Guess i shouldn't be critical without listening more though.

This song is very good, it's well played and well arranged, it has to my ears that distinctively american rock sound that you can find in Aerosmith, for instance. You may like the style or not, but it is pretty good. The production of the recording is excellent. The instruments are clearly heard throughout, each one with its place in the frequency stage, all perfectly balanced and managed, and it sounds great, too good to be true, in the sense it would be nearly impossible to replicate live. The loudness is pushed to the limit, you can actually see that on the nearly full and rectangular waveform graphic on the bottom of the video, meaning the dynamics are flat, there is little amplitude variation between weak and strong sounds, they've been compressed so nothing sounds too high or too low. This is good commercially as one wants to be able to hear the music well enough on the radio while working on a car, for instance, or just well enough if studying but, well, it can also become boring and tiresome if your attention is actually on the music itself and not on something else you're using the music to go with. If you go check the waveforms of Led Zeppelin or Allman Brothers recordings, I'd bet you'd see plenty more dynamics (especially if they're not remasters). In itself, that doesn't mean the music is better or worse, I only find more enjoyable to listen to those recordings than this one even it is technically more advanced than those.

What happened to Pink Floyd/ The Wall project? Is it perhaps abandoned and replaced with more simple and easy listening music? Hope not…

I usually prefer to speak up to say something positive but occasionally the best thing to do is to pass judgement: this band, the Cold Stares and Greta Van Fleet are all very generic and derivative imo. Modern rock music is better represented by something like Biffy Cyro, say "Wolves of Winter" kzbin.info/www/bejne/mKGtp4Nql5qZjpo or the Drones perhaps "Jezebel" kzbin.info/www/bejne/g6fJh2hsm9-Mlck or some of Muse's more interesting stuff, say "Hoodoo" kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpu6qGOIp5lqY68 or "Exogenesis" kzbin.info/www/bejne/j3aramuVfcZll6M or "Ruled By Secrecy" kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqLFenhnjtKcqck

Listen to some more Bowie, to Velvet Underground, more Beach Boys. Check out the Moody Blues, The Cure, Jesus and Mary Chain, Dinosaur Jr., The Clash, even some Van Morrison, more of The Who, more REM, Blondie, The Cars, Talking Heads..... these kids trying to sound like Zeppelin are tedious. Listen to the Meat Puppets, I don't know.

I'm sorry, but I need an angrier, darker, more to the point song. It might be less helpful, but then again it might not. Does humanity need kumbaya, or do we need a slap in the face? I don't know. I think we already get a lot of both, but sooner or later the universe will give us a huge dose (the biggest of all doses) of the latter. We likely need a better way than either of these.

Ugh, another nobody band. How do all these trash bands get reactions? I thought this channel had a high standard for quality for getting a video. Please, react to The Darkness. They have songs like: "I Believe In A Thing Called Love" and "Rock And Roll Deserves To Die". Another is King's X. They are considers the band of music bands and are the original Grunge band. Nirvana, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilot and Alice In Chains all came from them. Their style is like The Beatles if they played hard rock. If you mention you are fan of them to a pro rock musician, you get their respect. They have songs like "Black Flag", "Dogman" and "It's Love".

I assume the band are the ones who paid the 250 bucks to have you "react" to this, as a promotional thing. And who could judge anyone in that situation-they get some cheap promotion and you get a bit of money. Everyone's a winner... apart from maybe your audience, who-I'm almost certain-would prefer a Tom Waits reaction to whatever this is.

Typical southern Blues-Rock like there have been many...never heard of them not bad but not a real vintage Hammond B3 organ, heavy Gibson guitars, angry voice, sounds a bit like Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Tommy Castro, Thackeray etc.
