Know what I love about these guys? They are so technically good yet there is a little bit of a "cheese factor" in some of their tunes that makes their music really euphoric and fun to listen to. Plus, Dave is still hot in his 50's with his tight little ass and long hair, what's not to love?

There are moments here that sound like Sabbath from the Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules era, and that is a good place to be. But I also appreciate Virgin Steele as their own unique thing. There's so much going on here musically, lyrically, visually, symbolically. There's reference here from Zep to Joseph Campbell, which is not a far stretch if you comprehend the common three millennia well from which art such as this draws.
