Virgo ♍ Astraea's Hope! Gorgeous Double Straight Pours with Turquoise, Green Gold, Pearl &24K Gold!

Hello Friends! Welcome back to another Night Pouring edition, tonight we are continuing our Constellation Series with Virgo, The Maiden. The story of Virgo begins with Astraea, the Greek Goddess of Innocence and Purity and Hope. She lived on Earth with other Gods and Goddesses in the Golden Age. Earth was a beautiful peaceful place, until Zeus sent Pandora to Earth. She carried with her a box that she had been instructed not to open.. but her curiosity got the better of her and she did open it, unleashing the plagues of hatred, greed and anger and others onto Earth. Earth became an unbearable place, and one by one the God's returned to the Heavens. Astraea watched as things got worse and worse, until she could no longer stay and watch mankind destroy itself. She returned to the Heavens too, but left Hope on Earth.
It is said that when mankind returns to the Golden Age that Astraea will return then too.. until then she is immortalized by the Constellation Virgo.
The colors we are using tonight are:

some colors have GAC800
There is NO Silicone
in Any of My Paint.
I layer my cup carefully down the side, keeping contrast in mind. I pour a small puddle of gold and pour my first cup as a straight pour into the gold. I fill up a second cup, explaining the significance of the colors to me in this pour.
Pearl = Innocence
Gold = Hope
Turquoise = Lust
Green Gold = Envy
Payne's Gray = Darkness
I want to see how the Pearl and Gold react and combine with the darker more solid colors.
I pour a small ribbon of Gold and pour my second cup into that, this time as a wandering straight pour. I use some thinned out Pearl as my flow extender and pour that around the 2 pours, then begin to tilt it to cover the canvas.
There are some really beautiful areas where the pearl has blended with the Turquoise and Green Gold and created a pastel effect, and other parts where the gold has mixed with the Turquoise and made a vibrant bright green.. very cool stuff! We have some gorgeous Gold cells in places that also have some of the solid colors in them. I really enjoyed this pour, I hope you all did too!

This was a beautiful twenty minutes of zen, of peace and of tranquility! I thought it was really cool how your first pour, after telling the story of Astraea, resembled Earth as seen from the heavens. It is what I still see. In the heavens there was a jewel of rainbow colours so bright that it dimmed the stars. It's purity resonated like the songs of angels; scattering love, peace and tranquillity throughout the universe. Mapping the skies, Zeus paused to listen, then gently placed the jewel in a galaxy and the planets named it Earth. Mina this painting and the story of Astraea are among the best you have done.
