I just admitted to my husband of 14 years that I sometimes cry because the urge to return to the stage and perform is so strong. He was shocked 👀and shooketh. I smothered it years ago when I realized I couldn’t manage my babies and the level of selfless selfishness my art requires. Then last year, I decided the children are big enough, I am ready and it’s time to return to sharing my artistic work professionally. Last week I caught myself crying ugly tears because I was moved by something and I still deeply crave the feeling of belting into a mic on a big stage, so bad (don’t even need an audience). Def isn’t ego, it’s a soul thing… It just randomly takes over my life sometimes. 😂 last time I had an urge like this 15+ years ago, I announced to a friend that I have decided a certain company was going to hire me before I even auditioned for them… I got the role. I’ll take this video as a sign that I should start calling opportunities to me now. I can’t believe I did this to myself for so long.😂😂😂 this will DEFINITELY stop immediately. #leapyearvibes

As a fellow stage performer, I do feel the next wave of feminism has to do with women getting to have identities and contributions to society outside of the prescribed mother/wife role. Cancer moon/Mars here, I have no issues with motherhood, in fact I have been a mom to many adults with the psychology of children lmao - I'm just saying that in order to be healthy about the motherhood/wife thing we need to be able to be more. Many families have been suffering because of the limitations our society has put upon what women can be. I know those tears very well. A lot of my more difficult karma has had to do with dealing with difficult women, and they ALL bought into the philosophy that artistic pursuits are selfish. I wish they all let themselves have more fun and play and creativity in their life so that they'd let me do my thing 😆 Still waiting to move this karma out of the way so I too can get back on the stage! It seems to lean more towards women being Superwoman, doing it all & having it all, which of course is impossible to sustain without neglecting family, partner, career, health or..whatever. It makes complete sense to me that women should pursue creative or business interests, whatever floats your boat..you are infact setting a great example for your children by demonstrating your skills, passions, knowledge. It all comes down to balance & I see no reason why fathers can't shoulder more hands on child rearing responsibilities at times, especially when Mum needs to exercise her right to follow her dreams.

Now we're thinking of selling part of it and live debt free and only work during the holidays ( easter, summer). We'll have a lot less income but much more free time. Listening with a broken foot, no walking or driving for 2-3 months, broke my tooth last night,lost a beloved dog to fast moving cancer. I thought I was moving into a great new stage, turned 50, started a new job, was paying off debt, started at a new gym… and then all these challenges have slowed things, required to literally sit and heal. Not sure what to make of all this… did I do something wrong, am I get bad karma for a past wrong? Or am I moving into a new, positive stage as I’d hoped. Instantly thought about Powell, FOMC, tightening & rate hikes And expectations of Powell dropping % in March. Am I crazy? "What's working what's not what was hidden" ...reality check...hard conversation, tough choice, Karma, something going on behind the scenes...not in alignment...with being 'Just', this could be shutting down, full stop.
