Wonderful! Thank you so much for posting. I own a DVD that I bought when Virsky toured the USA back in 2004 that included clips of this performance but not everything; what a treat! I really appreciate the way this is filmed. While other recordings are beautifully shot with changing and interesting camera angles in some ways the simplicity of this version enables the viewer to watch the stage picture more fully and naturally as though it were live! Many different casts have been filmed throughout the ensemble's history and I personally had the pleasure of seeing the current ensemble earlier, just this year; for me, each cast and generation brings something uniquely special to the repertoire, they are indeed the Spirit of Ukraine. Speaking of the repertoire - what masterpieces, each one of them.

I so enjoyed watching this, we saw Virsky in 1990 not sure if this is the same venue but I suspect it is. Beautiful!
