Animation-wise, this game still cannot be compared to Tekken. But I am glad that SEGA made a huge improvement in this game, some lighting effects especially, as SEGA's fan I knew SEGA could still improve this game.

Amazing to me that they've kept the same crappy sound effects all this time, which bear no resemblance to a human hitting another human. They've always been great games, even as far back as the blocky first one, but damn ... those hit sound effects.
