Just want to share my enthusiasm about Virtual Jeff. Having used it recently at a concert with Stu Hamm on bass. It's a new/old sound and a new dimension that everyone who hears it has a 'wow' about it. Helping me with the video was Leo Vigil on drums and Chris Amodeo with the voice-over. Tom Gillen handled the production. Go Virtual Jeff! Who is going to push it over the threshold?

I met Peter at the Philadelphia Guitar Show on July 16, 2023 and he demonstrated the VJ Pro for my friend and I and we were both blown away by amazing piece of gear. Latency is non-existent and the notes track perfectly, both mono & polyphonic. Having purchased every sort of electronic pitch changing device for guitar available for the last 45 +,- years I've been playing, I honestly wasn't too hopeful that this was any better than any of the overly-hyped (and ultimately mediocre) pedals I'd previously owned/used, but I was immediately stunned by the accuracy and clarity of each note and chord as Peter put it through every function. I quickly purchased it and put it on one of my Telecasters when I got home and then brought it to rehearsal the following week and let the other guitar player demo it and he fell in love. If you're on the fence because you're skeptical, I get that! Let's face it; every single other piece of equipment that has claimed to do what this actually does has failed miserably. I can't say enough about how well engineered the Virtual Jeff Pro is and how great it sounds! (After watching this video, I'm going to try the "Hold" function - this is a very useful tool I completely forgot about!)
@HumbleHeartMinistry2 жыл бұрын
Just purchased this yesterday! Bought it mostly for the virtual capo and blend functions. I play worship as a one man guitar player, and use looper pedal and put my drums, bass,keyboard, ect on for my backing track. So being able to change key and still play it on neck where I like to play will be very useful. The girls who sing with me will love that I can play the hard to sing songs I would normally play in say G, can now be in G#, or f# for them! But I do write songs of every style, and the whammy will definitely be used! Glad I came across this cool invention! Looking forward to when it arrives!

wow, Peter ,that's truly innovative indeed. It seems you have singled out the very aspects that will appeal to guitarists. It's NOT overly complicated, yet it seems deceptively Powerful in musical terms. It's really a "creativity helper" isn't it. It allows guitarists to WIDEN their ideas on how to build a song and a sound pallette for more depth to their compostions. I have never really seen anything like Virtual Jeff. i Can't imagine how long it took you to invent it. How much microelectronics design skills you needed to design that processor and such...? congratulations Peter on inventing something truly innovative. As you mention, there are very real reasons why your device is desirable. No tuning issues, No tension changing of strings. Ability to fit IN and OUT to many different guitars that could not normally have a trem.. and all the myriad of other cool features it has.......(but it isn't OVER complicated at all) much regards Peter. It's a fantastic device. It looks so useful. I'd just like to see some more retro-looking guitar mounts/arms so that it really fits in aesthetically on something like a '50s style Les Paul or Tele. Also... maybe for a firmware update a 12-string simulator (octaves on the bass and unison doubling on the treble strings). Then it would replace like 6 different instruments instead of only 5 or so.

I think this looks pretty cool but it looks like the bar itself seems to have a very light touch. With a real floating system the further you pull or dip the bar the more resistance you feel from the springs and I like that this imparts some tactile interaction with how far you are displacing it. Having such a light touch would feel weird. If I had this I'd want the spring mechanism on the bar to mirror the kind of tension you'd normally feel on a traditional whammy bar. Also one of the best things about a floating bridge is dive bombing. It would be nice to have a dive bomb feature where you can go all the way down to slack rumbling.

Can we make Dimebag Darrell squeals or floading vibration tremolo with? Can we fix a more strenght setting on whammy bar? Have you made a more simple version only to replace a floyd rose trem? It could be a good idea. Many people don't need a whammy digitech new version system because some doesn't Care or some has got it...as me. I'm not interested in bigsby trem but why not for fans. But some people could be interested in only changing floyd or kahler for this because it's close on Price, we don't loose attack, we don't broke strings, bends are tuned and easier, sustain is always here and more simple to use by far...and easy to remove. No need blocking tuners and we can use on everything with string and electricity, and empty location. It's great. But if it doesn't do all what a floyd do, it's a shame. Another suggestion : include strings' noise simulator; when you do a dive bomb, noisy effect is important. If you do that, it will be perfect.

It's one greatest guitar effect device. Do you maybe intend to make JUST a simple "pitch shifter" (from -12 to +12 with all 1/2 steps and a simple blend) based on the "pitch technology" in use in the Virtual Jeff? I know literally GAZILLIONS of musicians who don't necessarily use "whammy" but, for gig purposes, are either constantly having to use a capo up and down the fretboard, or have to take down tuned guitar with them, just to accommodate the "PITCH DESIRES" of the singers they need to work with. Such an extremely accurate simple pitch shifter could actually SAVE some depressed touring guitarists LIVES. 😆 And if it's SO GOOD on guitars, then maybe it could also be used with other instruments. And in a recording studio if you add a "micro-pitch" digital rotary knob ... "re-pitch" any track, on the fly. Endless commercial possibilities. Anyway, a PERFECTLY SOUNDING (no glitch, no latency) pitch shifter would sell like HOT CAKES, and render all other pitch shifters from other brands totally obsolete. Thank you so much in advance for just reading this comment. Best regards. Merry XMas to everybody!
